SHORT TERM COURSES
* Regular guest lectures related with online & offline condition monitoring of Power
Transformers are being organized at the TIFAC Centre for benefit to Faculty, Ph.D. students,
UG & PG students working in the area by inviting experts from time to time since inception in
2004.
* The APEX Board ( RMC) of the TIFAC CORE has endorsed organization of Training Programs
in the area of Substation Equipments Maintenance for benefit to Officers & Substation Staff of
our TIFAC Industry Partners i.e. HP State Electricity Board, Ltd., Shimla from time to time.
* Two Training Programs have been conducted for Final year Diploma Students of Govt. Ploy.
Hamirpur that had benefited their students secure jobs in core sectors in reputed Electrical
Industries. One more such programme has been planned in Nov.' 2013.
* One STTP on Transformer Engineering, Current Trends & Practices was Organized for Electric
Engineers of Manufacturers Of Transformers, State Electricity Board Engineers, Faculty wef.

* A Refresher Course on Transformer Engineering and Practices has been held during 26-28 Feb.,
2007
* A Short-Term course on Transformer Engineering, Protection and Diagnostics has been
organized during 3-6 Oct., 2007 for young engineers of Electric Power Utilities.
* A refresher course on Power Transformer Engineering- Current Practices & Emerging Trends
has been organized during 20-23 Oct 2008 exclusively for the engineers of HP state electricity
board.
