About TIFAC Core NITH

The Power Transformer Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Centre at the Electrical Engineering Department, NIT Hamirpur, is a Center of Relevance & Excellence (CORE) established under the Mission REACH program of the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) Core at the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur. We are committed to cutting-edge research, high-quality education, and developing infrastructure that supports technological advancement.

Our Mission

Mission REACH is an offshoot of the Technology Vision 2020, initiated by late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Ex-President of India, through the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to make India a developed nation by the year 2020.

The program envisages the creation of a constellation of world-class Centers of Relevance & Excellence (COREs) in diverse disciplines across the country by upgrading science and technical institutions. These COREs are mandated to produce high-quality technical manpower, foster innovation, and engage in cutting-edge research to meet the future technological needs of the country.
